drawing challenge

This weeks host for the drawing challenge is my wonderful blog-friend Stefanie and her theme is "daily project". I find those kind of projects great and every year I think to myself that I should start one to, but at the same time I'm scared that I can't keep it up for one year. This year I didn't start it because so much was going one with moving to another city and that sort of stuff, I did not know where to find the time for it. But for the last two weeks I had a daily project which I introduced to you HERE. It turned out to be a bit more work so I'm still working on my "thread-thingies". Not everyday anymore, but bit by bit now. I wanted to see how it looked on our door in the hallway so that's is why I worked on it for every day. Now I can slowly finish it and do something else in between. I made one big one for the door on the other side of the hallway:

  1. I simply love them! Beautiful and so very female, women decorate the homes, we are artists in everything we do - I don´t care - beauty is what we need!
have a beautiful weekend and thank you for playing and for being my friend

  2. it seems as perfect, Celine!, in my case, like you, I can not do it for long time,
(I admire the constancy of SS)
imagine that these thread-thingies may be on the window glass. or a curtain.
or between two glasses hanging on the wall.
    i like it a lot!.
    good weekend! Celine!!!

  3. Very beautiful, Celine! They are like snowflakes, crystals falling from the sky, so delicate! The element of lace and feminine elegance is very appealing too! Must have been a lot of work!

  4. they do look good, celine, i like they pick up on the light too, they feel so airy, and fragile, what with the threads looping through. i can imagine they grow a little addictive?

    dag!

  10. Celine this work is so different than what I am used to seeing from you! It is wonderfully sculptural and textured. I know how long something this big takes to make. It is very intricate and you use your eyes and hands to a very exacting degree. The results are so beautiful. Very well done my dear!!! Nice work! *smiles* Norma, x

  11. These came out great Celine! and I really like them all together- more of a statement in a group. It must have been fun to make- how did you make them stiff?? I'll have to reread your post!

  14. I love when you're doing art with simple every day items. these ones are especially nice. delicate and strong at the same time. while looking at them, I imagine walking through a complete room, filled with them... must be amazing.

  15. Celine, I find these a fascinating contrast to your graphic work. Related, too, though, in that they are complex-ed-ly feminine. Bravo!
